An experienced Junior Sous Chef required by this luxurious country house hotel.

It is within this busyproperty that a competent Junior Sous Chef with experience in all sections of the kitchen is required. Joining a small, but clearly well established brigade, the successful candidate must be flexible and dedicated to producing food to their exceptionally high standards. Offering a choice of dining rooms along with an established conference and wedding business you will have a proven track record of working in a similar establishment.

Your duties will include:

  • Aiding the Head and SousChef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Ordering of food
  • Carrying out stock checks
  • Ensuring the correct standards are in place and if not, to redirect and control.
  • Training of the junior chefs
  • Up keeping the high standards that are already in place
  • Menu planning

Previous experience in an establishment that was accredited with 2 Rosettes minimum. This position would suit a highly stable and committed individual looking to continue making a name within the industry. Must have NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene. Applicants must be well presented and have strong leadership skills. It is also necessary that all applicants have a stable CV with excellent references. The working pattern will include split shifts - some breakfast shifts and straight shifts where possible.
