Full Description:
Managing the recruitment process; advising managers on performance and disciplinary issues in a timely manner; responding to and supporting employees with HR related queries, monitoring legislation.
• Identify best practice recruitment methods and procedures to fill specified vacancies.
• Place recruitment advertisements in relevant publications / web sites etc.
• Liaise with recruitment agencies regarding permanent and temporary staffing, negotiation of competitive rates and agree terms of business.
• Manage and continue to create a variety of ideal recruitment methods that are cost effective and reliable.
Performance Management
• Assist Managers in monitoring performance of their employees, advising on correct method of performance management and objective setting.
• Offer advice and control disciplinary and grievance issues in-line with company procedures.
• Provide advice and assistance to line managers and supervisors on all HR related matters including legislation, company policies and procedures and performance management.
• Oversee yearly appraisal and three monthly probationary review processes for all employees and monitor return of related paperwork and note reminders for any interim reviews suggested for employees.
General
• Provide prompt responses to staff who have any HR related / welfare issues.
• Involvement in strategic planning and decision-making regarding any staff concerns for the organisation.
• Maintain computerised and manual personnel files.
• Manage employee of the quarter & employee of the year scheme.
• Maintain and monitor staff holidays.
• Maintain and monitor sickness records for all employees, ensuring return to work meetings, welfare meetings or disciplinary action is taken where required.
• Maintain and update staff handbook.
• Attend monthly Management meeting and monthly National Sales meeting.
• Coordinate induction training as required for all new employees and deliver HR and H&S section of induction.
• Assist Management in the identification of training needs and arrange training as required.
• Offer advice on matters affecting Health and Safety.
Experience:
•Experience in a generalist HR Management / Senior HR role, ideally from a small – medium sized organisation.
•Essential to have specific experience in employee relations and recruitment.
• CIPD qualified desirable but not essential.
This is a PART TIME role based on 25 hours per week (5 days a week 10am – 3pm ideal). Immediate availability is required.
