Job Description
Role: HR Consultant - 12 month Contract - Surrey - £150-£170/day
This position will be part of the MGS (Microsoft Game Studios) HR team in the UK. The individual will be a key business partner within the MGS HR team responsible for driving the organisational and people agenda and supporting the achievement of business results. The HR Consultant will be responsible for the effective execution of all people processes.

Success will depend on great collaboration with the other HR Team members to achieve an integrated & consistent HR Service both within MGS and Microsoft UK.
Key Accountabilities:
o Partners with management to deliver the people agenda and strategy to support business plans.
o Coach/advise management on leadership, people issues & team development in line with HR best practice and company policy
o Work with management to identify org change needs and build plans to implement effective Change Management programmes;
o Adopt an advisory role with management on reorgs & other change management initiatives to ensure clearly defined processes, planning & clean execution.
o Contribute to a positive employee relations climate in the group and consult on employee relations & performance management.
o Ensure all policies, practices and procedures are systematically reviewed, updated and communicated as appropriate
o Ensure all HR processes are being delivered effectively to the business; monitor progress regularly and partner with recruiting, operations and other HR teams as necessary.
o Communication to managers & employees, supporting the provision of training related to the review process & performance management, working with managers to meet the review distributions and on compensation & promotion justifications.
o Manage the Sub\'s employee benefits contracts
o Effectively manage 3rd party recruitment support
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HR Team
o Drive variety of projects in conjunction with local HR groups to support the client HR needs.
o Effectively manage all HR tools and processes which support excellent service provision
o Promote management training courses within the group
o Be a contributor to the HR team engaging in key activities & sharing experience & work load
o Provide support and guidance to HRA as their acting line manager
o Help HRA to identify projects and prioritise workload
o Provide technical assistance to HRA with regards HR subject matters

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1) Essential Experience
* Proven experience in HR at a comparable level of seniority as this role
* Strong business acumen, focus on how HR drives business results
* Demonstrable experience of business partnership
* Able to manage & deliver through virtual &/or project teams.
* Good all round experience of HR systems, policies, legal requirements, programs & practices.
* Desirable - Top blue chip experience, knowledge & experience in the IT and/or creative industry

* Good standard of PC literacy, comfortable with technology

4) Qualifications
Desirable: qualified in CIPD/BS/BA Degree or equivalent
